There is some beautiful scenery in North Norfolk, but often I find my camera drawn to the wastelands. I find a strange sort of poetry in images of absence and desolation, where nature still flourishes against the odds.
I took these photos in the coastal village of Happisburgh, near North Walsham, Norfolk, in 2011. Because of erosion,the houses in Beach Road were awaiting demolition, and all except one had been abandoned.
